Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC at a date that's yet to be announced. Don’t let the lack of release date get you down, however. The game is now available for preorder in standard and collector’s editions -- though the collector's edition has been selling out almost the moment it goes live at the various retailers. At any rate, here’s everything you need to know to preorder Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (Standard Edition)

The collector’s edition has been selling out moments after it goes live at each retailer. If you're lucky enough to snag one, it comes with the game itself, plus the following:
- Collector's box
- Halo jump patch
- Fox patch
- Terrarium Diorama
- Metal game case
- Snake's ID card lanyard
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition (UK and Europe Only)
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition includes the game, Steelbook, FOX patch, "!" sticker, and character art for £89.99 (with free delivery from Amazon).
But, it's only available in the UK. This seems like a fair trade, as those over the pond aren't able to purchase the recently revealed Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Collector's Edition including that sweet terrarium.
If you'd prefer to snag the Deluxe Edition while being in the States, then here's how you can do it. Amazon UK will happily ship the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition to you, for a small fee, so if that's the edition you're most excited about, then place your order ASAP to avoid disappointment.
What Is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater?
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater (that's the fancy way to write it) is a remake of the 2004 PS2 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This souped-up stealth action game has all-new graphics and cut scenes, based on the Unreal Engine 5. However, it will reportedly use the same voice acting tracks from the original game.
And while you'll still be able to use the same (stiff) control scheme as the original, in Delta you can opt instead for modernized controls. That's how I'll be playing the game, thank you very much.
