Once Human Iron Ore Locations
After you’ve gotten comfortable farming Copper and Tin in Once Human, your next step up will be Iron ore. Iron will be your new flagship ore, as you’ll be able to make stronger ammo and build more facilities with the ingots it makes. Here's how to get Iron Ore in Once Human.
Where to Find Iron Ore
Unlike Copper and Tin ore, which has the metal jutting out of the rocks to make them easy to identify, Iron ore is a bit more subtle, with a reddish-brown hue instead. This makes it a bit more difficult to spot, but once you know what to look for, Iron ore will stick out in comparison to gravel or even the other ore.
Just like with Copper and Tin, ores spawn frequently near water, such as beaches or rivers, or near roads if you have a sharp eye while driving.
This lake is a good source of water, plus you'll lots of Iron ore up and down the shores of the lake and accompanying river. Because the ore spawns so quickly, you can run a loop around the lake and a portion of the river, letting you farm a fair amount of Iron ore without too much hassle.
Once you’ve gotten all the Iron ore you can handle, you can smelt it down into Steel Ingots; not only can you craft Steel Ammo with Steel Ingots (which deal much more damage than the lower-tier Copper Ammo), but they also figure into many of the facilities that require or generate electricity, like Solar Panels or Refrigerators.
